Vincent J Rigney
Vincent J Rigney singer songwriter musician based in Corby says he has no set genre he likes to write in but writes what comes naturally so it could have a Country Music / Blues feel to it, Pop, Indie, even Alternative.
In 1991 Vincent, aged 23, went on the road as a solo vocalist. He claims these different genres of writing come from listening to his family’s music all those years ago. Over the years Vincent would go on to perform at countless venues as a solo act and he has also worked with some very talented musicians whilst fronting live bands.
His album ‘Completely Me’ was released 12th June 2015. This first all live EP1 ‘Completely Me’ with four original songs was recorded at Parlour Studios in Northamptonshire. The EP was written by himself whilst also collaborating with other musicians in the town. Andy Taylor and Robert McAlindon were challenged to bring out the best in these songs and make them as good as they could possibly be.
He was also listening to and singing some of his favourite songs as a solo artist all through the 80s & 90s on the road. After performing in pubs and clubs it wasn’t too long before he began performing at holiday parks, hotels and theatres in the UK and abroad even winning a few talent contests along the way.
Today Vincent continues to write and perform, supporting Tony Christie in 2014 and releasing EP2 in 2016 – ‘Songs From The Watertower‘.
Vincent’s single ‘Beautiful Human‘ was also aired locally on the BBC Introducing show.
